We don't need to think back to the London riots of August 2011 to find ourselves in a Ballardian context. Figures like the Spanish employment minister Fátima Báñez, the president of the Community of Madrid, Esperanza Aguirre or the magnificent Angela Merkel would have been characters that border on the implausible, and could have even been included in Ballard's dystopian visions. STUPOR is a band from Poland formed by Patryk Lichota playing saxophone with preparations, Fryderyk Lisek who uses his own software programmed in Pure Data, and Piotr Tkacz playing on turntable with objects. The band started playing in November 2011 and this is a recording from February 2012. Like all STUPOR recordings, this organic and noisy piece it's purely improvised. This recording was one of the first Queer Toys improvisation sessions: a duet for two amplified monotrons. Monotron is an analogical toy based on the features of classic synthesizers but with low hi-fi sound. The two pieces provided in this reference were recorded during an improvisation held at the hybridaRT_studio in June 2011. Está fue una de las primeras sesiones de improvisación de Queer Toys: un dueto para dos Monotrones amplificados. El Monotron es un juguete analógico basado en las...

Mario Bastian shows a work halfway between composition and improvisation in Resurrection Protocol. He creates this quite organic and hardly classifiable piece playing with the idea that our biological and intellectual being is likely to be encoded-decoded in data. Un trabajo a medio camino entre la composición y la improvisación es lo que nos ofrece Mario Bastian en Resurrection Protocol. Jugando con la idea de que todo nuestro ser biológico e intelectual es susceptible de ser...
